Dummy me!

Those who use Blogger understand what I meant in my previous post. Of course my blog looks the same, it's the adminstrative and stuff that have changed.

So you guys can't, of course, see if it's like Wordpress or not.

Anyways, just want to clarify that.

Cheers!

What happened here?!

I was just away for a little while and everything has changed?! I barely could find the way to write this post! I hate when everything changes, I don't have the energy to learn how everything works all over again. Such a waste of time...

But it do look a bit similir to Wordpress, no?

Anyways, my summer holidays have started so I might be writing more. Or not. But you never know. But what I do know is that I use Twitter and Instagram more often! All hail the microblogging!

Add me-la!

I'm a monster!

In the very last minute, I was able to buy tickets to Lady Gaga's Born this way-ball here in Stockholm on 30th Aug. And now I also discovered that she has put up an extra show the day after! The sale went so crazy that the whole site had shuted down. So the new date of sale is on 2nd May and I'm soo going to buy more tickets!

To be able to see her perform once is fanastic. But to see her do it twice is just... U-N-B-E-L-I-E-V-E-B-L-E!!

It's going to be soo wicked!!

Little monsters! Paws up for Mama Monster!!

My price, my motivation, my only purpose

I'm working on some stuff that might change my whole life. I've been gone through pain, sweat and sleepless nights for this project. My energy is decreasing and I'm thinking about giving up...

But I'm not a quitter. Na-ah! I'm a fighter!

So to keep myself motivated, I've decided to give myself a reward.
If I succeed, I'll go and buy my dream bag; a Chanel Jumbo Beige Clair with gold chain.

Yeah, that's right. You heard me. A Chanel bag!

That's my reward if I make it.

And now I can see it clearly infront of me. The bag. The bag!

Few more weeks of pain and sweat and I might actually get it!

Okay, work your arse off, Ling!
Work! Work! Work harder!! HAAAARRRDEEERRR!!!

I'm almost there...

I have a dream...

I have a dream that one day I'll will be free.

I have a dream that one day I'll be the one I want to be.

I have a dream that one day I'll be able to do whatever I want to do.

I have a dream that one day all my dreams will come true.

Honestly, give China a break

First thing first. I dislike China. A lot. I hate most of their traditions as much as most of the people as well. And it's just because of the cultural and moral differences between me and them. I'm too westernised for my own good, as simply as that.

But I need to step up for China this time, because I think they are being treated in a very unfair way. I'm a very justified person and a liberal. So for me to stand up for China is a very hard task but this time I really can't keep it to myself.

I just read an article from a Swedish newspaper (SVD) and this writer was talking about China is on its way to become a superpower and how horrendeous that is because China violates the human rights. And starting to pull up lots of numbers and statistics based on other organisations rapports about China HR circumstances. He also compared China's situation with the Arab Spring.

And I just got fed up. First of all; how many countries do we know in our history that have gone from the irone age directly to democracy? And second of all; I haven't felt so much pressure when, for example, USA was on it's way to become and was a superpower. The wars they have started? The constant search for oil resources in other countries whilst ignoring the human rights? The thousands innocents they have imprisoned because their remotely suspicion of being terrorists? And lastly; who else have a population of 1,34 billion people to govern over?

It's not that I'm not acknowledging China's problem and their violation against HR. But what I'm trying to say is that to give them a break. They didn't start their industrial revolution until 1960's. They were hundreds years behind us. And yet we expect them to be just like western countries? No, excuse me, just like Sweden?! How many countries are like Sweden? I have travelled a lot around Europe and I can tell almost none is up against Sweden.

Sweden is a special case. We are a small and neutral (cowardly) country that "hasn't participate" any of the world wars and our industrial revolution started in the middle of 19th century. We were almost 100 years ahead of China; and we didn't have a large population. The quality of people's living conditions increased way faster than the Chineses. And when people had their own property and better lifestyle, they needed to protect it; and thus began the development of democracy.

China will become democratic one day. And as we know, all those who have read history books at all, the road to a democracy has not always been easy and simple. It's tough and some people will suffer. But that how it works and I just don't get why China get so much shit because of that. It's not like we western countries walked on a smooth road to democracy! But when it comes to China... Man, how we feel the rights to criticise then.

These kind of articles makes me upset beause it shows how the writers have never been on place and really experienced the constant progressing in the Chinese socities nor have talked to any of the locals. They have, as anyone else, also been manipulated by media.

If you are going to complain about China, you should complain about the education and the opportunities to get a decent education. China defends their strict control and observation around the country with arguement: the broad spread of stupidity among the people. Which I can confirm. The general education is very low. You'll find few educated à la western standards but most of them are pretty still dumb. It's hard to have a debate or argue with someone when they have thoughts tracking back to the 1700s. Those conversations felt like playing squash. The ball just kept coming back to you instead of staying at the reciever. In other meaning, it felt like talking to a wall.

But then again the low education among the population is only to blame on the government. This brings back to my point. If we really want China to stop violating the HR and become more democratic than we should make them improve their educational section. If people were more educated maybe then there won't be anymore (at least less) violations of HR and more democracy, because that'll kill the government's arguement for why using dictatorial methods to control the country. When there are no longer "idiots", what more is it for the government to control?

That's one thing Sweden have that's so precious but it's taken for granted by most of the Swedes. The educations in Sweden are free and thus everyone has an equal, fair chance in life. Chineses don't.

When I read articles like this one, it doesn't make me feel that they have the best interest for the Chinese people in their mind, but that they are in fact, scared about something they don't have any control over and therefor try to stop its development by using rapports that will only show the negative outcomes. And thanks to media, that fear will now reach to other people, like an epidemic, and create an unfair pressure on China and misunderstandings.

What I'm just trying to say is; don't to get sucked into the media's bullshit. Instead go to China and rectify some stuff for yourself. That's what I did when I went tot Shanghai last year and lived there for a year, because I needed to get bottom with this.

And it's not like what the media says. Again, of course they still have some problems but they are on their way. Though the internet is limited, the people still use Internet as much as we do and in the same way. People do make a statement and the government reciprocate; in a positive way.

It's not always that horrible as the media describes it.

So honestly... Just give China a break, will'ya?

It's nice in Nice

I had a wonderful time in Nice!

I really had a great time and I ate a lot, a lot, a lot of moules. And I ate them in many different kinds. There's a big love story going on between me and seafood...

My lovely Anastasia let me stay at her place. She was also so kind to take me around the french rivera and visit other cities, like Monaco and Cannes, which by the way were a big disappointment but that's another story.

She wants me to come back when it's time for the Cannes Film Festival. But I'll think about it. Even if it'll be totally awesome to get a chance to see all the stars, I still can't handle with crowds.

However, Nice is definitely a wonderful place to go to when you need to relax, eat good food and drink some good wine. Totally perfect recovery place if you ask me!
